GXS October Payday Campaign
What is the October Payday campaign, and must I name my Boost Pocket in a specific way to participate?
The campaign is named the GXS October Payday Boost Campaign, and you must name your new Boost Pocket Oct5K or OCT5K to qualify.
• You must open a new 12-month Boost Pocket during the Campaign Period between 19 October 2026 and 31 October 2026.
• Renaming an existing Boost Pocket will not make you eligible for the cashback reward.
When is the Campaign Period, and is there a cap on the number of eligible participants?
The Campaign Period runs from 19 October 2026 to 31 October 2026, inclusive, and cashback is limited to the first 5,000 eligible customers. Participation is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Who is eligible to participate in the campaign?
Participation is open to select existing GXS Savings Account customers who receive a direct notification, as well as new customers who join during the Campaign Period.
• Existing customers must receive an email notification or an in-app inbox message from GXS Bank inviting them to participate.
• New customers who open a GXS Savings Account during the Campaign Period are automatically eligible.
Are there any exclusions that prevent a customer from participating?
Yes, existing customers who did not receive an official notification and customers who previously closed a GXS Savings Account are excluded.
• If you previously held and closed a GXS Savings Account, opening a new account during the Campaign Period will not make you eligible.
• Accounts that are closed, suspended, blocked, or not in good standing are also excluded.
What actions must I take to qualify for the cashback reward?
You must open a new 12-month Boost Pocket named Oct5K or OCT5K during the Campaign Period with a minimum deposit of S$5,000 in Fresh Funds and maintain it until maturity.
• You must maintain your Boost Pocket until its full 12-month maturity date.
• Throughout the 12-month tenure, your total GXS Savings Account balance must remain equal to or higher than your account balance on the date you opened the Boost Pocket.
What counts as a qualifying deposit for this campaign?
A qualifying deposit is a deposit of at least S$5,000 in Fresh Funds into a newly created 12-month Boost Pocket named Oct5K or OCT5K.
• Renaming an existing Boost Pocket to Oct5K or OCT5K does not qualify as a new deposit.
• Transfers made from existing GXS Main Accounts, Saving Pockets, or Boost Pockets do not count towards the Fresh Funds requirement.
Is there a holding period for the deposited funds?
Yes, you must hold the funds in the Oct5K Boost Pocket for the full 12-month tenure until maturity.
• Early withdrawal or closure of the Oct5K Boost Pocket before maturity invalidates your reward.
• You must also ensure that your overall GXS Savings Account balance does not fall below your baseline balance recorded when the Boost Pocket was opened.
How is my cashback reward calculated, and what is the maximum reward I can receive?
You earn S$10 in cashback for every S$5,000 in Fresh Funds deposited into your Oct5K Boost Pocket, up to a maximum payout of S$200.
• Cashback is calculated strictly in increments of S$5,000 of Fresh Funds.
• Deposits above S$100,000 will not yield additional cashback beyond the S$200 cap.
Example:
If you deposit S$25,000 of Fresh Funds into a new 12-month Oct5K Boost Pocket, your cashback is calculated as 5 blocks of S$5,000 (S$25,000 divided by S$5,000). Multiplying 5 blocks by S$10 yields a total cashback of S$50. If you deposit S$100,000 of Fresh Funds, you receive 20 blocks of S$5,000, which equals the maximum cashback of S$200.
When and how will I receive my cashback reward?
Your cashback reward will be credited directly to your GXS Savings Account on or before 30 November 2027.
• The account must remain active and in good standing at the time of fulfilment.
• Cashback cannot be exchanged for credit, cash equivalents, or transferred to another account.
Under what conditions will my cashback reward be forfeited or recovered by the bank?
Your reward will be forfeited or clawed back if you close your Boost Pocket early, reduce your overall account balance below your baseline, or close your account before fulfilment.
• Closing or withdrawing funds from your Oct5K Boost Pocket prior to maturity results in total forfeiture.
• If your total GXS Savings Account balance drops below the balance recorded at the time of Boost Pocket creation, the bank may disqualify you or deduct fulfilled cashback from your account.
• Breaching account terms or failing to keep your account active and in good standing also causes forfeiture.
What are Fresh Funds and how are they calculated for existing and new customers?
Fresh Funds represent new money brought into GXS Bank that was not previously held in any GXS Savings Account.
• Transfers between your existing Main Account, Saving Pockets, or Boost Pockets do not qualify.
• For existing customers, Fresh Funds are measured as the net increase in your total account balance compared to your balance on the day before the campaign started.
• For new customers, Fresh Funds are measured against your account balance at the exact point of account opening.
Example:
Suppose an existing customer had S$2,000 in their GXS Main Account on 18 October 2026. On 20 October 2026, they transfer S$10,000 from an external bank into GXS and place S$10,000 into an Oct5K Boost Pocket. The total account balance increases from S$2,000 to S$12,000, making the net increase S$10,000 in Fresh Funds. This qualifies for S$20 in cashback (2 blocks of S$5,000). If the customer merely moved S$2,000 from their existing Main Account into the Boost Pocket, the Fresh Funds amount would be S$0, yielding S$0 cashback.
Can this promotion be combined with other ongoing GXS Bank campaigns?
No, this campaign cannot be combined with any other promotional offers or campaigns unless explicitly stated by the bank.
• Fresh Funds qualifying for this promotion cannot be double-counted towards other concurrent deposit rewards.
• Standard interest rates on your GXS Savings Account continue to apply alongside this campaign.
How do I know if I am among the first 5,000 eligible customers to receive the cashback?
Cashback is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and final qualification is verified after the 12-month holding period ends. GXS Bank tracks qualifying deposits in chronological order up to the 5,000 customer cap. Because qualification requires holding the Boost Pocket until maturity, the final list of eligible recipients is confirmed after the holding period concludes.
Marketing material advertises earning 1.95% p.a. interest on the 12-month Boost Pocket, but how is this return actually calculated and paid?
The advertised 1.95% p.a. total return consists of the standard 1.75% p.a. base interest rate plus an effective 0.20% p.a. cash reward component delivered as cashback.
• The base interest rate of 1.75% p.a. is earned directly on your Boost Pocket balance over the 12-month period.
• The remaining 0.20% p.a. equivalent return is provided via the campaign cashback of S$10 for every S$5,000 deposited in Fresh Funds.
Example:
If you deposit S$5,000 into a 12-month Oct5K Boost Pocket, your standard base interest at 1.75% p.a. yields S$87.50 over one year. In addition, fulfilling the campaign criteria earns you a cash reward of S$10 (which equals exactly 0.20% of S$5,000). Adding the S$87.50 base interest and S$10 cash reward gives a total return of S$97.50, which equals an effective annual return of 1.95% p.a. on your S$5,000 deposit.
What is the Total Day End Balance requirement and how does it affect my campaign eligibility?
Total Day End Balance is the sum of your daily closing balances across your Main Account, Saving Pockets, and Boost Pockets, which must not fall below your opening day baseline.
• On the day you open your Oct5K Boost Pocket, your total GXS Savings Account balance is recorded as your baseline balance.
• For the entire 12-month tenure, your total combined balance at the end of every day must equal or exceed this baseline balance.
• If you withdraw funds from other pockets causing your total balance to drop below the baseline, you will lose your cashback eligibility or face cash clawback.
Example:
Suppose on 20 October 2026, you have S$3,000 in your Main Account and add S$5,000 of Fresh Funds to open an Oct5K Boost Pocket. Your starting Total Day End Balance baseline is S$8,000. If 6 months later you withdraw S$1,000 from your Main Account (leaving S$2,000 in Main and S$5,000 in Boost Pocket = S$7,000 total), your Total Day End Balance drops below the S$8,000 baseline. This breach disqualifies you from receiving the S$10 cashback reward, or allows the bank to deduct S$10 from your account if already paid.
Are my deposits in the Oct5K Boost Pocket protected by deposit insurance?
Yes, Singapore dollar deposits in your GXS Savings Account and Boost Pockets are insured up to S$100,000 in aggregate per depositor.
• Coverage is provided automatically by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC) under Singapore law.
• No extra action is required to activate SDIC insurance for your Boost Pocket.
